A Buddhist Thai amulet, a Palad Khik from the 8th century AD, is the inspiration of these sculptures. The sculptures representing fertility are covered with eggshell to enhance the symbolism. In addition the lobster shells represent the strength of nature. Coloured shiny glass and mirror mosaic reflects on issues of preciousness and worthiness, but at the same time also fragility and vulnerability.
